PPSS Group Aim To Help Protect Civilians With New Emergency Body Armour

SlashPRO Slash Resistant ClothingFurther to a number of well documented knife attacks on civilians in recent years, PPSS Group started a comprehensive R&D project with the aim to design an extremely lightweight body armor that can be strategically located in public places and deployed within a very few seconds, in case of emergency.

PPSS Group designed a new rapidly deployable Emergency Body Armourfor individual protection, providing the latest in globally respected and field-tested body armor technology and furthermore demonstrating exceptional protection from edged weapons, such as machetes and knives, as well as hypodermic needles.

Emergency Body Armour™ is now available to airports, train stations, hospitals, city center hotels, and other key locations civilians may flee to and seek shelter when faced by a quickly occurring threat.

Today’s global launch took place at London’s Hilton Canary Wharf Hotel and was attended by some of the UK’s top security experts and advisors as well as journalists from key security publications.

According to the company behind this concept, this latest Emergency Body Armouralso provides unmatched protection from blunt force trauma injuries, usually suffered following an assault by a blunt object.

A top healthcare security specialist in Britain wished to remain anonymous, but stated: "To have something small, compact and lightweight stashed away or strategically placed that you could pull out and throw on, would make a huge difference between a potential life and death situation."

Robert Kaiser, CEO of PPSS Group fully agrees with this statement. Presenting at today’s global product launch at the Hilton Canary Wharf Hotel in London he said: "An Emergency Body Armour makes sense, and it will help to protect human lives and reduce the number of casualties when a serious threat develops."

A live video demonstration of this new body armor can be viewed on YouTube.

Further to all Police Forces in the UK issuing body armor during the 1990s, many hospital and university security teams have now equipped their teams with stab resistant vests. The same can be said for several public sector enforcement teams, such as Trading Standards, Licensing, Community Safety, Environmental Health and Car Parking Enforcement.
